The Rangers of the Vale Offers so much to benifit members of ESO. In the guild, the importance of team work will be demonstrated and pride and honor will be built through hard work in training and questing. As stated in the Creed of the Rangers, Integrity first, service before self, excellence in all we do.

Guild Protocol

The Three Kings

The three kings will act as the three supreme rulers of the guild. They have absolute control over rules and laws but must come to a mutual agreement to pass any law. The three Kings are to be respected, despite any disagreement at hand. The Kings must each be of different races, the three races of the Aldmeri Dominion, however, if the spot for any king has been vacant for more than a month, the two current kings may come together and pick any member of the guild, regardless of race or gender, whom they think would lead the guild to prosperity.

Inducting New Players

While inducting new members, the Rangers of the Vale conduct a ceremony. All available members should meet at our main hideout for the induction ceremony; the three kings will tentatively be there, as well as any other members. The new member will recite the creed in front of the Kings while other members surrounded incoming player.

Guild Finance

The guild's money and resources will be kept and monitored in the Guild Bank which is given to every guild by the creators of the Elder Scrolls Online. The Three Kings, Resource manager and members of the treasury will be the only people given access to the guild bank.

Player Names

When naming your character, please, try to keep the names lore friendly. You won't find a "badmike2275" on a battlefield in Tamriel. Try you keep your names compatible with your race. It adds more realism to the game.

Overthrowing a King

One of the three kings can be overthrown should they not be a good leader. In order for this to happen, there must be a vote between members. And finally a unanimous decision between the other two kings.  If the king is overthrown, then he shall be excommunicated from the guild. He may, however rejoin the guild for a fee of 1000 septims given to each king.

Excommunication of a King

In the act of excommunication of a King, guild members will nominate three guild members for the spot of king. The nominees must be of a different race then the other two kings. The two Kings should then decide on which nominee will be king. A female is eligible and will be individually called queen, but being referred to along with the other male kings, they shall still be called the three Kings of the Vale. If all rulers are female, then they shall be the Three Queens of the Vale. One or more banners must be made for each king.

Things that would cause excommunication from the Rangers:

  •   Lack of play (Inactivity for one month, unless a member of the guild is notified).

  •  Revealing location of ANY hideout/stronghold

Constant disrespect towards other guild members and/or kings.

Any caught spies will be immediately executed without question.

Immaturity (This is the most important thing to us. After 3 accounts of immaturity, you will be banished).

     Using guild resources unnecessarily

     Treason

Stealing guild funds or from guild mates

All persons are given a trial before deciding excommunication. If the Elder Council finds you guilty, depending on the reason for we have a very nasty surprise for you. Your items and ego will be stripped forever.

Protocol for Excommunication and Fines
In order for a member of the guild to be excommunicated or fined, a trial must be held. The Elder council will meet, as many members of the elder council as possible must be present. The defendant will tell his side of the story in front of the  Kings and Grandmaster. Witnesses may speak out at any time during the trial providing evidence for or against. If the defendant is found guilty and a fine is issued, then the player will give the amount that is due to the King and it will be placed into the Guilds fund chest. A log will be kept at all times on the amount of gold in the chest. If anyone one is caught stealing from the guild chest, even if it is a king, will be immediately excommunicated without trial. A trial to determine excommunication will also be held and it will be identical to the trial to used to determine a fine, except, if the member is found guilty, and is sentenced to excommunication, depending on the reason for excommunication,  the entire audience present will attack the member without mercy. They will never be allowed into the guild again.

Marriage in the Guild

A system of partnership is being incorporated into the Elder Scrolls Online but it is loosley related to marriage. In the game, two players can perform a ceremony and are bestowed two rings that grant the to players powers and abilities for when they fight together. However, a player may have different rings with multiple players, keeping it from acting like an actual marriage. In the guild, we offer an option of marriage. When two players get married, a ceremony is held and hosted by the three kings and the High Priest. All three Kings and the High Priest must be present at the wedding. The ceremony concludes with the couple wed under the eyes of Mara. One of the Kings will then present the couple with a matching set of  rings. Any player is elligible of marriage and can marry any player who is not already married, regardless of race or gender. The kings may marry as well, and their spouse will be called the Queen of the Vale, however, The Queen of the Vale will not posses any authority, but must be greatly respected. Members of the guild can also marry members outside of the guild. If they meet a player that is not in the guild, they can still marry them, regardess of gender or race.
